HANOVER
David McGee has guided his seven graduating seniors on their educational
and spiritual journeys.
So, as the Masters Academy principal bid
them goodbye on Saturday morning, he reminded the students to keep God close when
navigating lifes complicated paths.
Weve never talked
about how easy it is, McGee told the graduates. We talked about how
difficult choices can be. You will make choices every day about how you will live
your life.
The seven graduates make up just the third group of students
to earn diplomas from the Masters Academy, a private Christian school that
opened six years ago.
Given their small numbers, Salutatorian Travis Carey
said the group has closely bonded through the years during class trips and soccer
games. Their commitment to one another and shared faith in God made the experience
that much more meaningful, he said.
I speak for everyone when I
say God bless you, Carey told the small group assembled at the First Congregational
Church of Hanover. For he has provided us with great memories and great
friends to share them with.
The bonds among students were not lost
on school administrators, either.
You have ministered with us, you
have prayed with us and you have served alongside us, and we give thanks to God
for your accomplishments, said school board Chairwoman Lisa Laque.
