DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS 2007-2008

School Colors: navy blue, burgundy and white (All Solid Colors)
GRADES 1-6

Boys - Everyday

Girls- Everyday

Shorts:

  • No higher than 2" above the knee, navy blue or kahki

Pants: (no baggies or cargo)

  • Docker / chino style, navy blue or kahki

Short/Long Sleeve Shirt:

  • 2 or 3 button polo style, oxford style or turtleneck
  • white, burgundy, navy or light blue

Sweatshirt:

  • The Master's Academy logo

Sweater/Vests:

  • crew neck, V-neck, cardigan, burgundy or navy

Socks:

  • solid white or dark colored

Shoes:

  • dress/casual, sneakers (no sandals)

Skirt /Jumper:

  • No higher than 2" above the knee, navy blue or kahaki

Shorts/Skorts/Capri's:

  • no higher than 2" above knee
    navy blue or khaki

Pants: (no baggies, cargo, stretch or low rise)

  • docker/ chino style, navy blue or khaki

Short/Long Sleeve Shirt:

  • 2 or 3 button polo style, oxford style or turtleneck
  • white, burgundy, navy or light blue
  • tops must be long enough so midriff does not show when arms are raised

Sweatshirt:

  • The Master's Academy logo

Sweater/Vests:

Dress Down Days: designated by the Principal on special occasions and permitted on student’s birthdays.

The following clothing and styles are prohibited on “Dress Down Days”:

• Clothing that is tight fitting, oversized, worn, frayed, tattered or with holes and tears.
• Offensive logos, logos that are dishonoring to the Lord.
• Undergarments may not be visible
• Tank tops, halter tops, sleeveless tops and spaghetti straps. In addition all tops must be long enough not to show midriff when arms are raised
• Pants dragging on the floor
• Large chain jewelry
• Zippers or chains on pants
• Hooded sweatshirts only if logo is not offensive
• Flip flops and sandals

 

GRADES 1-6


JEWELRY:
Age appropriate jewelry can be worn so long as it is worn in a tasteful manner as determined by the teacher and or administration. No heavy chains, bracelets, neck chokers or any other jewelry deemed inappropriate by the principal. Caution should be taken as jewelry sometimes causes injury during recess and gym. Please be reminded that the school is not responsible for any lost or damaged jewelry.

BODY PIERCING:
Only pierced ears are permitted for the purpose of females wearing earrings in the ear lobe. No more than two earrings per ear lobe.

HAIR SYLE AND COLOR:
Males: Hair will be neatly combed in a traditional men’s style and of natural color. The following are
NOT permitted:
• Excessive Gelling or Spiked Hair
• Chiseling or Sculpting
• Mohawk
• Hair length beyond collar
• Ponytails or tails

Females: Hair will be neatly worn and of natural color.
The following styles are NOT permitted:
• Excessive Gelling or Spiked Hair
• Chiseling hair to make it tiered or unusual

HATS:
All hats must be removed upon entering the building and will remain off until departure. Scarves and bandanas are not permitted in the building.

OUTER GARMENTS:
Unless otherwise instructed, outer garments are to be removed upon entering the school and placed on either assigned coat hook or in an assigned locker.

LOGOS:
School logos are preferred. Small discreet manufacturer’s logos may appear on shirts.
